Session 1: Monday 7/8-Thursday 7/18 (includes Friday 7/12)(makeup day Fri 7/19) | $75 res, $95 non-resSession 2: Monday 7/22-Thursday 8/1 (includes Friday 7/26)(makeup day Fri 8/2) | $75 res, $95 non-res Stoughton Recreation offers swim lessons for children and adults beginning at the age of 3 years old. Led by our staff of trained lifeguards and water safety instructor, children and adults will learn basic strokes through dynamic and informational practices while having fun. Lessons are 45 minutes for levels 1-5, and 30 minutes for Tiny Tots. A parent or guardian must be present on the beachfront at the time of swim lessons. No child will be allowed to participate if a parent or guardian is not with them on the beach and following the Ames Pond policies and procedures. This is for everyone's safety. Each swim lesson registration comes with a season pass to the Ames Pond Beachfront. You must pick up your passes in advance at 15 Pleasant St, they will not be mailed to you. In case of inclement weather or closings, we will cancel the class and you will be notified by email.    Lessons take place at 10AM and 11AM depending on your child's swim level. This is subject to change at any time prior to the start of swim lessons depending on your child's swim level and lesson enrollment. Be sure you are selecting lessons based on your child's swim level, not time preference.    Please read the options carefully to ensure you are signing up for the correct swim level, session, and time. Not sure what level you are in? Please find our options below:   Tiny Tot: New swimmer, getting comfortable being in the water. While not required, many parents join us in the water for this class.  Level 1: Learning to be comfortable submerged under water, learn one basic swim stroke  Level 2: Learn basic strokes and to float on back, already comfortable submerging head under water Level 3: Refining basic strokes, will jump and swim in deep end, can float on back  Level 4/5: Comfortable with a variety of strokes, learning advanced swim techniques, in deep end  Swim team for advanced students in levels 4/5 and above will take place at 12PM. Swim team is at no extra cost, and not required. If interested, please check off your interest during registration of your level 4/5 swimmerPlease sign up based off of your child's SWIM ABILITY. Lifeguards may adjust your child's swim level up or down at any time. This is for their safety and lifeguards make the final determination on swim level. If your child's level is full, DO NOT sign up for another level. Led by our staff of trained lifeguards and water safety instructor, children and adults will learn basic strokes through dynamic and informational practices while having fun. Lessons are 45 minutes for levels 1-5, and 30 minutes for Tiny Tots. A parent or guardian must be present on the beachfront at the time of swim lessons. No child will be allowed to participate if a parent or guardian is not with them on the beach and following the Ames Pond policies and procedures. This is for everyone's safety. Each swim lesson registration comes with a season pass to the Ames Pond Beachfront. You must pick up your passes in advance at 15 Pleasant St, they will not be mailed to you. In case of inclement weather or closings, we will cancel the class and you will be notified by email.    Lessons take place at 10AM and 11AM depending on your child's swim level. This is subject to change at any time prior to the start of swim lessons depending on your child's swim level and lesson enrollment. Be sure you are selecting lessons based on your child's swim level, not time preference.    Please read the options carefully to ensure you are signing up for the correct swim level, session, and time. Not sure what level you are in? Please find our options below:   Tiny Tot: New swimmer, getting comfortable being in the water. While not required, many parents join us in the water for this class.  Level 1: Learning to be comfortable submerged under water, learn one basic swim stroke  Level 2: Learn basic strokes and to float on back, already comfortable submerging head under water Level 3: Refining basic strokes, will jump and swim in deep end, can float on back  Level 4/5: Comfortable with a variety of strokes, learning advanced swim techniques, in deep end  Swim team for advanced students in levels 4/5 and above will take place at 12PM.
