Get ready to build, roll, and race! In this hands-on creative program, toddlers ages 2–5 will use cardboard and a variety of kid-friendly materials to design and build their very own racetracks. Children will explore ramps, tunnels, and pathways while practicing imagination, problem-solving, and fine motor skills. Once the tracks are complete, it’s time to send the cars zooming! Join us for a collaborative program with the Stoughton Youth Commission! Using polymer clay, participants will create their very own worry stones! Worry stones are usually in the shape of an oval with a thumb-sized indentation, used for relaxation or anxiety relief. They are used by holding the stone between the index finger and thumb and gently moving one's thumb back and forth across the stone. This action of moving one's thumb back and forth across the stone is thought to reduce stress. Worry stones may also be called palm stones, thumb stones, fidget stones, soothing stones, or sensory stones.

Join Rec staff in our Teen Chef program, where teens will practice essential kitchen skills while creating delicious dishes from scratch. Each workshop is a hands-on experience, teaching participants not just how to cook, but also how to enjoy and appreciate food in a healthy way. Sign up for each session individually, and get ready to explore new recipes and techniques. 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Pottery Wheel Workshop for Adults - Pottery Wheel Workshop
Join us for a NEW program using the pottery wheel with artist Melissa Kowal, owner of Beeble Art Center!! This two hour class will teach you all about pottery and using a pottery wheel. Please wear clothes and shoes that can get messy.Items will be ready for pick-up or to be glazed approximately 3 weeks after the class or as kiln firing time allows. Glazing is fully optional, takes approximately 1 hour and can be done during business hours as programming allows by appointment only, Mon-Wed 8:30-4:30, Thurs 8:30-7 pm Fri 8:30-12pm. If you glaze your piece, please allow an additional 2 weeks to be fired. Please note that pottery items will be held for up to 6 months. After that time, we will need to clear our storage space due to limited capacity.
