The Stoughton Youth Commission provides no-cost professional and confidential counseling services to Stoughton youth and their families. Children, adolescents and families can meet with an experienced mental health clinician or graduate-level social work intern. The counseling process begins with a through interview and assessment, followed by the establishment of goals for treatment and a timeline for services. We accept self -referrals as well as referrals directly from parents, guardians or DCF. Counseling is a collaborative effort with respect to individual clients and families regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation.
In addition to counseling, we offer a variety of programs and enrichment opportunities for youth and parents These include youth leadership and service groups, babysitter training, youth skill building programs. parent support groups, the community garden project and more.
